Chasing light across Africa
 Where Africa tells its Story

Important Wildlife Corridors

Africa's vast landscapes, from savanna to rainforest, host incredible biodiversity, but face threats like habitat loss, poaching, and climate change, necessitating urgent conservation efforts. Community-driven projects focus on restoring ecosystems, connecting protected areas, and empowering local people through benefit-sharing to protect iconic wildlife like elephants and lions, ensuring ecological balance and sustainable livelihoods across critical habitats like Tanzania's.

Black rhino conservation in Tanzania involves rigorous anti-poaching patrols, establishing protected sanctuaries like Mkomazi and Ngorongoro, and collaborative reintroduction programs. These efforts, in partnership with international NGOs and local communities, are slowly helping the critically endangered eastern black rhino population recover from a historical low point caused by rampant poaching and habitat loss.

The preservation of Earth's natural resources (such as water, soil, wildlife, and forests) and ecosystems for present and future generations is known as Conservation.
